Each of the Disney Parks bring in the Holiday Season in their own way but one you really want your kids to see is The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights shown in the Hollywood Studios Theme Park. There is nothing else like it at Disney or any of the other locations in Orlando Fl. What a spectacle! It is almost overwhelming the amount of lights that are set up in this Christmas Display at Hollywood Studios. In fact, there are truthfully millions of lights set up to light up the entire street section during this display. In 2011 all of the lights were replaced with LED’s which make the event much easier on the electric bill, not that it would matter that much to Disney.
Why Osborne?
It is funny but the first time I heard about the Osborne Family Spectacle of lights in Disney World, all I could think of was, Ozzy Osborne? When did he start doing light shows? Well, believe me, this has nothing to do with that family of Osborne’s? Interestingly enough, this light show started in Arkansas by Jennings Osborne as a way to enjoy the season and share it with others. Well, he is definitely sharing the show with others and probably in a way that he could have never imagined when he started. Just come to Hollywood Studios and see for yourself how amazing this show is.
The Spectacular Event of Dancing Lights takes place on the Streets of America in Hollywood Studios. It starts out with Goofy dressed up as Santa to start it off. The lights bounce, blink and strobe to the sounds of the Christmas Music blasting through the streets. You really have to see this one for yourself. It is not something you will ever forget.
