Take some time to enjoy a nice relaxing visit to an Alpine Ski Lodge while in the Orlando area, hold on, that doesn’t sound right. As usual, Disney wanted to do something a little different and very eye-catching when they were designing the very unique Blizzard Beach Water Park in Orlando Fl. Everywhere you look and around every turn, you will see structures, snow, and ice sculptures that make you feel like you are at a beautiful Alpine Village. As you look around, it is almost confusing because of the snow-capped mountains, ski slopes, and even a colorful and fun ski lift to easily take you to the top of Mount Gushmore where you will enjoy access to many different water rides and attractions. Not only does it look cold, but even on the hottest of days, guests feel a little bit cooler just from the appearance of this great Water Park.

Fun for All Ages

It doesn’t matter what age you are when you visit the Blizzard Beach Water Park because it is designed with every age group and experience level in mind. There are a number of large Water Slides that are perfect for adults and might not be suited for the smaller ones in the family or group. That is not a problem though, there is also a great area for the toddlers and smaller kids at Tikes Peak and there is also the Ski Patrol Training Camp that was created specifically for that group of kids that fit somewhere in the middle, around the ages of 5 through 12, as well. When you first get to the park, you will want to take a look at all of the attractions you can ride by looking at a chart to show each riders accessibility by height.

Family Fun at Blizzard Beach

What a great place to bring the family when it is hot outside. With some type of water relief around every corner, as you explore, you start to realize that it is going to take some time to get in all of the rides offered. Bask in the sun on the sandy beaches by the full 1 acre Wave Pool as the rest of the family runs off to get some of the more exciting rides in. As you get hotter through the day, the entire family can take a ride on the massive Lazy river that spans over 1/2 a mile around the park.

Information to make your visit more pleasant

You would expect Disney to try and squeeze every penny out of you when you visit any of the wonderful parks they have in Orlando but you will be surprised by some of the freebies you get when coming to any of the Disney Water Parks in Orlando Florida. It is pretty amazing, but there is no parking fee when you take your family to either the Blizzard Beach Water Park or the Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Also included are Life Jackets so you don’t have to pack anything bulky to bring in the park with you. Towels are not free so you will want to bring a beach bag with you full of towels so you don’t get soaked by this additional fee. Dressing Rooms are available but if you need a locker for the day, you will need to purchase one at the locker rental kiosk inside the park. Most places like this expect to make a lot of extra money off of you just by charging outrageous amounts for the food that you purchase. Although there are a number of places to dine you are also allowed to bring a cooler into the park.

Transportation to Blizzard Beach

Disney offers transportation from most of their Hotels and Resorts in the area. If you are planning to spend the entire day, this is a great way to get around. If you are only expecting to stay for part of the day, it might be beneficial to drive. Since the parking is free, it is not a big deal at all.

Whatever you plan to do while you are in Orlando, you will want to take some time to take the family to one of the Water Parks in the area. There are many to choose from but if you are staying at one of the Disney Properties, it might make sense to visit one of the amazing Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon Water Parks.
