If you are looking for a tropical paradise with lush surroundings and beautiful landscaping while entering an amazing water park adventure, Typhoon Lagoon Orlando Fl is the place to go. It might just be the most incredible place you visit while you are in the Orlando Florida location. Set in a time from years past, from the moment you walk up to the entrance you will know that you are taken back to a simpler era in your lifetime. Grab your board Dude and lets catch some waves, is what you will feel like saying as you walk through the park.
Something for everyone
No matter what age you are, when you get past the initial entrance to the park and start venturing down the main path, you can’t help but get excited when you hear the waves crashing down at the Typhoon Lagoon Wave Pool. As you get closer, you will notice that this pool of Waves is not like others you have been too, it is quite different in appearance and also in the way that it creates the waves. When Disney decided to create this section of the park, they wanted the waves to be just like the real thing. In fact, this was the first wave pool to mimic waves so real that you could actually surf on them. I am getting a little ahead of myself though, more on this later.
Typhoon Lagoon for the Family
Sure, everyone loves a good wave pool but what else can the family enjoy together? Actually, there are a lot of adventures to explore together while spending time as a family and enjoying some of the greatest water rides in the area. One of the water rides that all of the family can agree on is the Castaway Creek Lazy River. It really doesn’t matter how old you are, this relaxing stream of water surrounds the park and at 2,000 feet it takes a good while to make it around.
Know what to expect when you visit
You might be surprised when you enter the parking area that you are not charged an additional fee to park your vehicle. This is not something you expect from Disney or from any of the local attractions in Orlando. This might change one day but for now, parking is free so take advantage of it. You would expect Disney to try and squeeze every penny out of you when you visit any of the wonderful parks they have in Orlando but you will be surprised by some of the freebies you get when coming to any of the Disney Water Parks in Orlando Florida. If you are on a tight budget during your stay the Disney Water parks also allow you to bring your own cooler into the Typhoon Lagoon park. Not only do they allow you to bring your own food but they also supply you with a couple of different picnic areas. If you are staying at one of the Disney Resorts, most of them have complimentary transportation to all of the Disney Parks.
Surfing in the Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
It is not something you will see at many water parks but you have the option of taking in the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Lessons early in the morning before the park opens to the public. What a great adventure to have while in a controlled space with set wave sizes and guaranteed ride time. It will cost a little extra but just think of the memories you will have to talk about for the rest of your life.
What about Snorkeling
Who thinks about swimming with the aquatic wildlife when you visit a water park? Snorkeling at Shark Reef in Typhoon Lagoon is probably not the first thing any of us think about when we are looking at going to a Water Park but I will tell you that this is a magnificent adventure when you visit. You will want to at least check it out from below to see the wonders of this man-made watery paradise but it is well worth doing if you enjoy snorkeling.
